Installation
In the spring of 2012 Gordon Kurowski and I put together an installation of 300 candles, rocks and running water, in order to create a meditative space to combat the stress of the upcoming semester. While the installation was up, we invited musicians and performers into the space to see what sort of interaction they would produce for themselves and for fellow observers. Harps, saxophones, trumpets, guitars, interactive media performances, theremins, percussionists, shakuhachi and other woodwinds filled the space every moment the installation was open, which was created a really warm and inviting atmosphere. Many people asked if we could make it a permanent installation, so I consider it a huge success! Here are a few images from it:
